Direct drive servo valve

How to reinforce heavy servo valve

As the core component of hydraulic control system, servo valve is widely used in aerospace, engineering machinery, metallurgical equipment and other fields that require high control accuracy and response speed. However, under some complex working conditions such as heavy load, high-frequency vibration and high-pressure impact, heavy-duty servo valves are prone to performance degradation or even failure due to fatigue damage, wear or seal failure. Therefore, how to effectively strengthen the heavy-duty servo valve and improve its working reliability and service life has become the focus of engineers and technicians.

First, structural optimization design

The reinforcement of heavy servo valve should start with its structural design. Through modern simulation techniques such as finite element analysis (FEA), the stress and strain of key components such as valve core, valve sleeve, spring and shell are analyzed, the weak links are identified and the structure is optimized. For example, increasing the wall thickness of the pressure-bearing part, optimizing the transition fillet to reduce stress concentration and adopting high-strength alloy materials can effectively improve the overall structural strength and fatigue resistance of the servo valve.

Second, material upgrading and surface treatment

In terms of material selection, priority should be given to new materials with high wear resistance, corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties, such as stainless steel, titanium alloy or ceramic materials. In addition, surface treatment technologies such as nitriding, chromium plating and thermal spraying can significantly improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of internal parts of servo valve, thus prolonging the service life.

Third, strengthen the design of sealing and leakage prevention

Sealing performance is one of the important factors affecting the stability of servo valve. In the process of reinforcement, the sealing structure should be optimized, and the sealing material with high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance and aging resistance, such as PTFE or special rubber, should be selected. At the same time, the pre-tightening force and fit clearance of the seal are strictly controlled in the assembly process to prevent the control accuracy from decreasing due to micro-leakage.

Fourth, improve the anti-pollution ability

Contamination in hydraulic system is one of the important causes of servo valve failure. Therefore, a high-precision oil filter can be installed at the entrance of the servo valve, and the hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly to keep the system clean. At the same time, the self-cleaning function or anti-jamming structure of the valve core should be considered in the design to enhance its adaptability in harsh environment.

Five, the introduction of intelligent monitoring and diagnosis system

The reinforcement of modern servo valve is not limited to the improvement of mechanical structure, but also can introduce intelligent monitoring technology. Through the real-time monitoring of the working state of the servo valve, such as the changes of parameters such as pressure, flow and temperature, combined with the fault diagnosis algorithm, the potential fault hidden danger can be found in advance, so as to realize predictive maintenance and improve the reliability and operating efficiency of the system.
