Nozzle baffle servo valve

How to clean medical servo valve

First, the importance of medical servo valve cleanliness

Medical servo valve is usually used to control the flow and pressure of gas or liquid, which has the characteristics of fast response and high precision. In the clinical environment, these valves may come into contact with blood, liquid medicine, disinfectant and other substances. If they are not cleaned and disinfected in time, they will easily breed bacteria and cause cross infection. Especially in the operating room, ICU and other places with extremely high aseptic requirements, the cleanliness of the servo valve is directly related to the treatment effect and patient safety.

Second, the daily cleaning and maintenance

The first step to keep the servo valve clean is to make a scientific cleaning process. It is generally recommended to wipe the surface after each use to remove visible dirt. For the internal structure, it should be disassembled and cleaned regularly according to the suggestions of the equipment manufacturer. Use neutral cleaning agent or special medical cleaning solution to avoid the damage of corrosive substances to the valve material.

In addition, during the cleaning process, special attention should be paid to the sealing ring, valve core and other parts that are easy to hide dirt, and carefully cleaned with a soft brush or dust-free cloth to avoid residue accumulation affecting the valve performance.

Third, sterilization and disinfection treatment

After cleaning, it must be sterilized. Common sterilization methods include high temperature and high pressure steam sterilization, ethylene oxide gas sterilization and ultraviolet irradiation. When selecting the sterilization method, the tolerance of the servo valve material should be considered to ensure that the parts will not be aged or deformed due to the sterilization process.

For electronic servo valves that cannot be sterilized at high temperature, low-temperature plasma sterilization or other appropriate methods should be adopted to ensure that the sterilization requirements can be achieved without affecting the performance.

Fourth, regular inspection and replacement

Even after regular cleaning and sterilization, the servo valve may still be worn or its performance may be degraded after long-term use. Therefore, medical institutions should establish a perfect maintenance record system and regularly check the working status of servo valves, including response time, leakage, control accuracy and other indicators. Once any abnormality is found, relevant components should be repaired or replaced in time to ensure the reliability of equipment operation.

As the core control element in medical equipment, the cleanliness of medical servo valve is directly related to the treatment safety of patients and the operation stability of equipment. Through standardized cleaning process, scientific sterilization method and regular inspection and maintenance, the service life of servo valve can be effectively extended and the quality of medical service can be improved. Medical institutions should attach great importance to the management of servo valves, ensure that they are always in a safe and clean state, and provide more reliable treatment guarantee for patients.
